Here are some important information for newcomers and old timers alike:
## Slack
You should register on the lab's messaging platform:
http://mistlab.slack.com
Every Monday before 12:00 you should send a report on what you have done
the week before, and what you plan to do during the week. This should be
sent to the #reports channel on slack. Please follow the template that all the
other students are using (you can copy from it from #reports).
## Meetings
Every two weeks we will have a lab meeting, where one student will
present his or her research in rotation. You should attend and provide feedback
and questions. Slack will send a reminder on the #general channel.
## Website
You should provide a three files for the lab's website: a Markdown file
where you introduce yourself, a person.ini file with your contact data,
and a landscape picture of yourself. Please look at the enclosed examples and
take a look at mistlab.ca to see what other students have done.
## Notebooks
I love Python notebooks. Whenever you want to share your results, I'd
like you to do it using notebooks. You will eventually be able to use
http://jupyter.mistlab.ca for a standard Python3.5 installation of
JupyterHub if you like
