# How to use DLP3000 as a HDMI projector
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
## Getting things ready
|
|
|
|
1. Download and install [DLP LightCrafter Firmware and Software Bundle](http://www.ti.com/tool/DLPLIGHTCRAFTER)
|
|
|
|
2. Download the software based on your platform. If you do not have a Texas Instrument account, create one to download the software
|
|
|
|
3. Unzip and run the installer
|
|
|
|
4. Launch *LightCrafterGUI.exe* in your installed directory
|
|
|
|
5. Connect the power and turn on the projector
|
|
|
|
6. The red color USB cable or any mini USB cable should be connected from the projector to the PC
|
|
|
|
7. Press the 'Connect' button on the GUI and if successful, the firmware version will be loaded onto the LightCrafter Control Software
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
## Using it as a HDMI projector
|
|
|
|
1. Connect the mini-HDMI-to-HDMI cable from the projector to the PC
|
|
|
|
2. Beside the "Disconnect" button, select "Display Mode" to "HDMI Port"
|
|
|
|
3. Click on "Set"
|
|
|
|
4. Your PC should be able to detect the projector as a second screen, if not, give the HDMI cable a shake.. |
